The K Family | Joy-Filled Family Session
at Starkey Park, Zionsville, IN

From a bit of initial shyness to the full-on smiles and laughter towards the end, this family session was full of heartwarming moments. The setting was perfect, especially Starkey Park, and I’m excited to share the behind-the-scenes experience that made this Zionsville family photoshoot so special. It’s the kind of shoot that reminds me why I love what I do!

At the start of the session, the little boy was a bit shy and unsure about the whole idea of having his photo taken. He wasn’t quite ready to show off his big smile, and I totally get it! Having a stranger with a camera can feel a bit intimidating! That’s totally normal, and it didn’t take long for him to relax. By the end of the session, he was grinning from ear to ear, running around, and enjoying the moment with his family. This is exactly why I love taking my time during a family photo session. It’s not about rushing through poses, but about creating a relaxed environment where everyone feels comfortable and happy.

Capturing Magic at Starkey Park in Zionsville

One of the best parts about doing outdoor family photography Zionsville is the incredible locations available, and Starkey Park is one of my favorites. It has this perfect combination of open space, beautiful trees, and quiet, peaceful energy. As the session progressed, the little boy’s initial stiffness melted away, and we were able to capture those sweet moments of him running around, playing, and laughing with his parents. The natural surroundings allowed for relaxed, candid moments.

The K family’s photoshoot was filled with so many wonderful moments, some shy, some goofy, but all genuine. Watching their little boy warm up and finally relax, with huge smiles all around, made this session truly special. Starkey Park was the perfect setting, and I’m so grateful to have been able to capture these memories!
