Lifestyle newborn photography is for all parents to leave some legacy to generations to come. I highly recommend you to schedule your newborn photo session when you are pregnant. The best time to have the newborn photography is within the first 1-2 weeks of life. We will schedule a tentative session based on your expected due date. Once your little one arrives, we will plan the actual session date.
When you are a new parent, it is nice to have an in-home newborn session. You will not need to go to a studio with a big bag full of diapers, bottles, and onesies. My lifestyle newborn photoshoot keeps parents stress-free and comfortable. (For more about lifestyle photography, please read this blog post.)
For your newborn home session, I will be using mid to late morning daylight. I always use nice window light (natural light) in your living room and one of the bed rooms. Once I get to your place, I will look around and decide on a place where we mainly photograph your newborn and family.
Neutral colored bed sheets/cover works the best in your bed room for newborn home lifestyle sessions. Do you know why? Neutral colors tend to have a very timeless feel to the photos. I can say it for your outfits as well. That doesn’t mean you have to decorate your place in white or your family has to wear all in white. Adding some pops of color is nice and cute!
When choosing colors for your outfits, I recommend selecting softer, lighter tones, and more muted shades. It will help bring all the attention to your faces and the connection between you and your new bundle of joy! (I will send more info regarding the color once you book your newborn session with me!)
